Repertoire

Here you can find a list of tunes that I can play on the bagpipe. Although the bagpipe has a very limited range (just nine notes are possible) and therefore is subject to some limitations in which pieces of music can be played, the long history of the Great Highland Bagpipe has brought forth a large number of interesting und entertaining pieces of music. And, of course, not only the scottish music can be played on the bagpipe, there’s a number of well known tunes and songs that can be played as well.

I can play most of the tunes listed below spontaneously, but for some of them, especially those I haven’t played for a while, I might need some repetition and training up front. Therefore I’d appreciate to discuss your favored tune list for an upcoming event ahead of time.

The List is sorted by Categories, but as some tunes belong to more than one category, those titles my be listed more than once.
